Wallet event tickets: tap or scan at the door, no app Event tickets in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet for venues, conferences and festivals: sent with the order, admitted by tap or scan, updated when plans change. /solutions/events / /solutions Events & venues /solutions/events #why #day #door #after #loyalty-day #faq A PDF somewhere in an inbox, searched for in the entrance queue. Screenshots forwarded to friends, and a door that cannot tell them apart. A changed start time that reaches the people who happened to read the email. A ticket that is spent at the door, with no way back to the holder afterward. On the phone from the moment it is bought, and on the lock screen as doors open. Validated once, then marked used. A screenshot is worth nothing at the door. A moved time, a gate change or a cancellation pushed to every issued ticket. A channel that still exists when the event is over: the next date, the season pass, the membership. 01 / SELL Tickets are created at purchase and added from the confirmation page or email, one tap per seat in the booking. Nothing to print, nothing to install. 02 / SURFACE Time and location relevance bring the ticket to the lock screen as the event approaches and the holder arrives at the venue. 03 / ADMIT Validation marks the ticket used, so a screenshot does not get a second person through the same door. The queue keeps moving. 04 / AFTER Counted, then kept Check-ins feed a live view of arrivals. After the event the ticket expires and archives itself, and the holder is still a contact you can reach. An NFC tap over Apple VAS and Google Smart Tap, or a scan of the QR code or barcode: whichever your entry setup already uses. The code is stored on the device, so admission works where the entrance has no signal. Every check-in feeds a live picture of the event: arrival progress, a guest list that updates as people tap in, per-door counts, and repeat taps flagged for staff without blocking the queue. Guests whose pass cannot be read are checked in by name, and the full list exports when the night is over. One holder, where it matters For high-value tickets, account binding ties an NFC ticket to the holder's own wallet account, so it works from the device it was issued to and nowhere else. It is set per program: leave it off where tickets are meant to change hands. A moved start time, a gate change or a cancellation is pushed to every issued ticket with a lock-screen message. It is a pass update, not a campaign, so it lands on the ticket itself. A scheduled campaign in Engage, Stell's messaging module, reaches ticket holders on the morning of the event, on the lock screen, with no app to have installed. Each seat is its own ticket, added from the same confirmation page or email. The buyer adds them all to one wallet or forwards a link to each guest. On Apple Wallet, event tickets can use full-screen poster layouts and Live Activities through the event, so the artwork is the ticket rather than a header on it. A holder who comes back is a member. The same platform issues season passes and membership passes, admitted at the same door with the same tap or scan. A ticket holder is a contact. Build a segment from the tags on the contact or their wallet type, see the estimated reach, and tell last season's holders first. Do attendees need an app to use a wallet ticket? No. Tickets are added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet from a link in the order confirmation, in one tap. Both wallets ship on the phone. How are wallet tickets checked at the entrance? By NFC tap or by scanning the QR code or barcode on the ticket, whichever your door hardware speaks. Validation marks the ticket as used, so the same ticket cannot admit twice. What happens if the event time or venue changes? The change is pushed to every issued ticket in seconds and can appear as a notification on the holder's lock screen. Nobody arrives at the old time because they missed an email. Can organizers see check-ins as they happen? Yes. Taps at the door feed a live view of arrivals, the guest list, and per-door counts, with repeat taps flagged for staff. Guests whose pass cannot be read can be checked in manually, and the guest list exports after the event. Can a ticket be stopped from being passed around? Yes. Account binding ties an NFC ticket to the holder's own wallet account, so it cannot be handed on and a screenshot is worth nothing at the door. It is set per program, so transferable tickets stay transferable. Does a wallet ticket work if the venue has no signal? Yes. The ticket and its code are stored on the device, so it can be presented and scanned with no connection at the door. Check-ins sync when the connection returns. We already sell through a ticketing system. Does that change? No. Your ticketing system stays the system of record for the sale. Stell issues the wallet ticket from the order over the REST API, keeps it current, and reports check-ins back. Door 2 · admitted Row 4 · 12 Ticket Marked used Read by Tap Doors that keep moving. Tickets that keep up. Tickets in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet : delivered with the order, on the lock screen when doors open, admitted with a tap or a scan, and updated for every holder when the plan changes. /contact #door Why wallet, for events An event is the whole pass lifecycle in one day. Issue at purchase, relevance on arrival, identification at the door, live updates during, and a channel that still exists when it is over. A PDF does the first of those. The day From the order to the archive, without a printer. The door The queue is the only metric that matters at 19:25. A ticket that reads on the hardware you already have, marks itself used, and tells the production team how the room is filling. Check the hardware at your entrance A pass carries a barcode or QR code for the scanners you already run at the door. Where you want tap as well, standalone readers read passes without a payment terminal. The reader directory lists the models with documented support today. Reader directory After the door A ticket that is spent at the door is a missed channel. The ticket stays in the wallet through the event and after it, managed from the portal or over one REST API alongside your ticketing system. Customer story Loyalty Day made the ticket the demo. Loyalty Day, the Nordic loyalty and CRM conference run by Oculos with ANFO, delivered its 2025 tickets as passes in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. During the day the same pass became the game piece in a live loyalty race, run on Trigg Loyalty and updating in attendees' wallets while speakers talked about engagement on stage.
