Offers that arrive, update and get measured
A coupon pass is an offer the customer keeps in the wallet instead of losing in an inbox. It can update itself when the offer changes, surface itself at the right time and place, and report exactly how often it is redeemed.

ExpiresAug 31What the pass does
Distributed anywhere a link fits
Coupons are delivered through email, SMS, your website, campaigns or a QR code in print. One tap adds the pass, and each pass can be bound to one customer so an offer is not forwarded endlessly.
Redeemed at the till
The customer taps the phone on an NFC reader or shows the QR code or barcode to the scanner. Redemption is recorded against the individual pass, so you know which offer converted, not just that something did.
Offers you can change mid-flight
Extend a deadline, sweeten the deal or correct a mistake, and the change is pushed to every issued pass with an optional lock-screen message. Time and location relevance can surface the offer before it expires or near the store.
Expiry that cleans up after itself
When an offer ends, the passes expire and leave the active list on their own. The portal shows installs and redemptions per campaign, so the next offer is grounded in what the last one did.
The life of a coupon pass
From the record it is created out of to the day it retires itself, with nobody having to think about it in between.
Choose who gets it
Build the audience in Engage from loyalty state, or issue against a list from your CRM. The estimated reach is shown before anything sends.
Anywhere a link fits
Email, SMS, your site, a campaign or a printed QR code. One tap puts the offer in the wallet, bound to one customer.
Used at the till
An NFC tap or a code scan, recorded against the individual pass, so you learn which offer converted rather than that something did.
Cleared on time
When the offer ends the pass expires and leaves the active list, and the portal shows installs and redemptions per campaign.
What every field is doing
The pass shown here is one example. A wallet pass has room for a handful of fields, and the template decides which of them carries what, so treat this as a starting point rather than a rule.

ExpiresAug 31Example layout
Your brand
An offer in a wallet sits beside every other brand's. Artwork is what makes yours the one that gets opened.
Expiry
The deadline, in the header field. It is the field that makes a coupon behave like a coupon.
The offer
Twenty percent, two for one, free delivery. It sits in the largest type on the pass because it is the only reason the pass was added.
What it applies to
Scope next to the offer, so the exception is read before the till has to explain it.
The rule
One redemption per visit, per customer, per store. Stated on the pass, enforced by your system.
Tap or scan
The same code the till already reads, or an NFC tap where the reader supports it. Both record the redemption against this pass.
What it replaces
The wallet pass is not a nicer version of the old artifact. It is the same job, done by something that can be updated after it is handed over.
- Below the fold of an inbox by the afternoon
- A code the customer has to find and read out
- Wrong the moment the offer changes
- Measured in opens, not in redemptions
- In the wallet, and on the lock screen near the store
- A tap or a scan at the till
- Updated in seconds when the offer changes
- Counted at the point where it was actually used
Who runs this pass
The same pass type, shaped by what happens at the counter.
Retail campaigns
A seasonal offer issued to a segment rather than to everyone, redeemed at the same till as the loyalty pass and counted per campaign.
Store openings
An offer that surfaces when a customer is near the new address, rather than one that arrives three days before they were ever going to walk past.
Win-back
Issue an offer to a segment of members who have not visited, and read the result as redemptions instead of clicks.
The pass is also the channel
Engage, Stell's messaging module, sends through the pass the customer already carries. No app install, no rented inbox.
Campaigns with a real audience
Send a one-time or scheduled campaign to a segment built from points, tier, last visit or wallet type, with the estimated reach shown first.
Automations around the offer
Pass installed and inactive days can trigger the offer and the reminder. The expiry on the pass does the closing without a second campaign.
Redemption, not open rate
Because the offer is redeemed against an individual pass, the portal reports what happened at the till rather than what happened in an inbox.
Coupons & offers, answered
- How is a wallet coupon different from a coupon in an email?
- It lives in the wallet instead of an inbox, works offline, can update itself when the offer changes, and can surface on the lock screen near the store or before it expires.
- How is a coupon redeemed?
- By NFC tap or by scanning the pass's QR code or barcode. Each redemption is recorded against the individual pass.
- Can I change an offer after it is sent?
- Yes. Updates are pushed to every issued pass in seconds, and a change message can notify the customer on the lock screen.
- What happens when the offer expires?
- Expired passes leave the wallet's active list automatically, so customers are not left carrying dead coupons.
- Can an offer be limited to one customer?
- Yes. A coupon pass can be bound to one customer at issue, so an offer meant for a segment does not end up circulating publicly.
- How do I measure a coupon campaign?
- The portal reports installs and redemptions per campaign, measured at the point of redemption rather than at the point of delivery.
